If you have a child, something you dream about is the moment your first baby gets to meet the new baby; you prep them, you teach them, they have no idea what is going on, seeing the hate and love, soon formed obsession with each other, not knowing that that baby will be by their side for the rest of their life.

Meet Chris, Beck, their baby boy Alfie and proud brother Charlie. We laughed a lot and I particularly loved Charlie’s obsession with my camera (he even took a few photos!). If you are a mother of two, you may be thinking “How on earth did you get a baby and toddler to cooperate for photos? Well, let me tell you that it didn’t happen straight away. My photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, using natural light and your own home. We scheduled time for feeds, settling, bribing etc. And it results in photos I am very proud of! 

My most cherished part of working with children and families, as an outsider, being welcomed into a family home and documenting their love and interaction. Photographing this momentous occasion and milestone, documents that become family legacies… the 1 moment you pick to print and hang on your wall to represent your family.

And building the legacy for a family you have watched grow is an honour. Particularly this family; photographing their wedding, and now their family. I cannot wait to see Aflie grow into a little man, with Charlie by his side.
